1991 – 1992 – practice at the National Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
In 1992-1994 – senior physician in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland, Director of the Center for Head and Spine Injuries.
Upon his return, he founded the Center for Trauma at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center, combining this practice with the neurosurgery department program, contributing to the treatment of head and spinal injuries.
In 2000, Dr. Knoller was appointed the head of the spine surgery unit, specialized in the whole spectrum of back pathology – neurodegenerative diseases, trauma and fractures, spinal canal stenosis, benign and malignant tumors of the spine and spinal cord, spinal vascular disease, congenital defects, herniated disc.
Dr. Knoller is the general researcher of several clinical trials conducted in the department, in the field of innovative drug treatment for head and spinal cord injuries, treatment of spinal cord injury by stem cells, development of methods for monitoring the spine and brain operations.
