Education and clinical experience of Dr. Nachshon Shazar
Graduate School of Medicine at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1987, was included in the list of outstanding students of the Faculty.
Residency in orthopedics Sheba Hospital in 1994 and two years of sub-specialization in Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, USA, the world’s leading trauma centers (1995).
Since 1996, Dr. Shazar is director of orthopedic trauma department Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. Within this framework, h has an extensive experience in treating simple and complex fractures: hip fracture, knee fracture, ankle and foot.
Dr. Shazar is the country’s leading physicians regarding the orthopedic trauma (surgical treatment of fractures) and significantly advanced surgical care with broken pelvis and hip.
He is an expert in the treatment of late complications, such as lack of fusion of fractures and chronic infections.
In the last 20 years, in addition to treating orthopedic trauma, and as part of the expertise of pelvic surgery he deals extensively with hip replacement surgery in cases of degenerative changes (degenerative osteoarthritis), changes arising from past traumatic osteoarthritis, head injury hip resulting from vascular necrosis and so on.
