Professor Joseph Alcalay
Dermatologist, venereal diseases, in micrographic surgery specialist (Mohs surgery).
Prof. Alcalaj graduated from Sackler Medical School, Tel-Aviv University.
After specialization in dermatology clinic in Beilinson Hospital Medical Center. Rabin, professor was a 3-year practice in Mohs, MD Anderson Cancer Center, the largest center for the cancer treatment, Houston, Texas.
Upon his return to Israel Prof. Alcalay founded direction Mohs operation for health insurance in Israel.
Prof. Alcalay is the author of more than eighty articles in reputable medical journals, as well as a member of various medical associations such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society of Skin Surgery (ASDS) and the European Academy of dermatological and venereal diseases (EADV).
Founder of Society of Dermatologic Surgery of the Israel Medical Association, which has led to increased awareness of performance and aesthetic surgical procedures among dermatologists and other specialists and patients.
Prof. Alcalay is the secretary of the European company ‘micrographic surgery, the Council of the International Society of Surgery of the skin.
In 2005 professor was appointed president of the Israel Association of Dermatology and Venereology.
Prof. Alcalay is a consultant in the field of skin cancer Cancer Society in Israel and a member of the American Cancer Society. He is a frequent lecturer in the field of skin cancer surgery and Mohs in various medical centers in Europe.
